When you lose electricity in a storm, do you light the candles or turn on the flashlight? How many of each do you own?

Is it dark?  Flashlights are what I usually would use.  Sometimes candles, but I don’t have many of those. I have no idea how many flashlights we own.  Several.  We try to keep one in each bedroom, one in the living room, one in the back room.  Plus I know a few others here and there.

You are given $5,000 and the chance to exchange it for one of two envelopes. One envelope contains $50,000 and one contains $500. Do you make the trade? Why or why not?

Easy. Considering it was money I did not have in the first place, I would trade it. No matter what, I would have money I didn’t have before. It might be just $500 and it might be much more.

What’s your first memory?

I am not sure what is exactly the first one.  I think it might be the time I was at my great aunt’s house and I was teasing a mother cat.  I was 2 maybe. Maybe not even that. I of course, kept teasing it and got scratched by it.  Ouch.  I remember my dad putting iodine on it. Ouch even more!!

What do you do if you can’t sleep at night? Do you count sheep, toss and turn, or get up and try to do something?

I usually don’t have trouble getting to sleep at night.  I am usually so exhausted I am out shortly after my head hits the pillow. On the days I can’t get to sleep I usually just toss and turn.  Now, staying asleep-that is a whole different story!

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am most grateful that all four of us sisters traveled together to our brother’s funeral.  I am grateful to be able to hug his family, cry together and be with people I needed to be with. Grateful to see the beautiful Colorado mountains.

As for what I am looking most forward to?  I am not sure.  I am looking forward to my son returning from his vacation.  I am looking forward to less crying. I am looking forward to some much needed laughter.
