Today’s number is number 52 thanks to a pick by my daughter. That was fun sitting through all the pictures going by as I counted and waited. This was taken not long ago as we were leaving Savannah, IL. We were there for a HOG ride to Poopy’s. It had been a beautiful day riding down there. We crossed the Mississippi on a ferry. ran into the end of RAGBRAI (Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa), stayed the night at a great B and B called Granny O’Neill’s. What a great couple running it. We stayed in two different houses and were driven around by Jerry, their helper! Nicer people, you would not meet! It was such a great time, we decided that needed to be a yearly trip! This bridge will be replaced in the next few years, we are told. I know most of the bikers, did not like it as it was all steel. Sometimes that is a little difficult driving over grated steel! On the way back we stopped at the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, Iowa. What a great place to visit! I recommend it to any motorcycle enthusiast! I want to go back sometime when we have more time! Next it was J & P Cycles, the Backbone State Park before finally heading home in some very strong winds and occasional rain drops. There is nothing like a weekend on the bike with great friends, visiting amazing places! I hope next summer brings more of it!
